Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NLT) Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.
There is no time like the present. The right time is right now. It’s now or never.
It’s amazing the quotes we learn about being proactive. Even more amazing is the wisdom we accredit to those who have said these things.
We take their wisdom or motivation and encouragement and decide that it’s going to be our new motto. YOLO, right?
The thing is, the Bible said that years and years ago. What makes our society reject the Word of God, yet uphold the words of man in such high esteem. Why is it not good enough for God to have said it for it to be our motto?
Don’t get me wrong. I am a quotes person. I love quotes. However, the more I read, the more I realize that those who are coined with the wisest of phrases have merely taken God’s word and put them in modern form.
So, I say all that to say, read your Bible. If you think you’ve come across a great quote or something worth posting from reading a self-help book, imagine what you’ll find reading God’s Word. You’re in for a real treat.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 (NLT) History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new.
