My second poem for our school.
Gratitude
That should be a daily attitude.
Courtesy
You shouldn’t have to give it forcefully.
Praise
It should fill all our days.
Grateful
Not just for a plate full.
These are the words we use to express
Our level of gratefulness.
We limit it to just one day
Instead of always feeling that way.
I’m thankful for my family
On this Thursday.
Oh so humbly
We might say.
I’m thankful for my clothes
And for this food.
We propose
A new more thankful attitude.
I’ll be more thankful everyday
My life will be better this way.
And then midnight hits
And everyone splits.
The sales are here
There’ll be better deals this year.
Yesterday it was thanks galore
But today we want more.
