Good and Plenty

Adobe Spark (1)

Even though money is low, I’ve got plenty. Even though I’ve not invested in much, I’ve got enough saved. Even though I have no food, I’m not that hungry. Even though I’ve got no land, I’ve got a place to rent. Even though nothing is right. It’s alright.

Nobody ever says that. We rarely hear anyone say nothing is going the way they planned or hoped, but it’s OK. We usually hear from people when everything is going the way they want it. And when things are going bad, we certainly don’t hear praises. But check this out in:

Habakkuk 3:17,18 (NLT) Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

Things aren’t right, but God still is. I’ve not got much, but God has plenty. I will rejoice in the Lord, because He’s all I’ve got, and He’s more than enough. I will rejoice in the Lord, because He is plenty. He’s good and plenty.
