I was talking to a friend one day, and long story short she was saying it’s hard to go through things in life because we want it all to hurry up and be over. You know? When we’re in the trial we want it to be over soon. When we’re being tested we want to hurry up and learn the lesson.
It’s too much work. Life seems easier when we aren’t having to deal with things we don’t want to deal with. Life is easier when things are going our way, isn’t it?
But where’s the growth in that? How do we grow if we get our own way? The answer is that we don’t. We very rarely grow when things go the way we want them to.
In conclusion, my friend and I faced reality. The reality is that life doesn’t always go our way. It’s that we have to grow through trials because we have to lean on God and bring Him glory. We decided that the truth of the matter is that the process is the glory. God is most glorified when we go through the process of being prepared for what God has for us.
For God, the process is the glory.
