We have Jesus’ sermons! It is hitting me right now. The reality of what is in my possession is almost unbelievable. My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has given me His sermons. His words are in my hands to live by. Isn’t that incredible?
I’m disappointed in myself. I’m realizing, that sadly, I’ve been treating the Word too commonly. I’ve been treating the Bible like it’s just another great book. It is definitely that, but it’s not just some book. It’s God’s Words!
I thought about how people get excited to hear certain preachers preach. There’s nothing wrong with that. I do too. But the Bible is Jesus’ preaching! Jesus! The greatest there is. Perfection, really and truly. And we have His words.
My mere words can’t describe the beauty of this. My best effort can’t fully express this blessing. All I know is that reading my Bible is a new experience now. It’s empowering like never before.
I’m able to read the sermons of the greatest there ever was, is, and will be. I’m able to carry my Creator’s words not only in my hands, but my heart as well. I can only be excited about that!
