God really is good. He really is in the blessing business.
I think of how many days I spent in prayer for a job after relocating. I think about the frustration and the waiting period that seemed unending. And then I think about all the moments God told me to give it to Him. He’s got it.
I think about how He provided in the meantime. Bills were paid, food was on the table (yeah, we’ve gained the newlywed weight), and we really haven’t gone without anything. And all I could hear was God saying, “I got it. Let me show out for My glory and your benefit. Don’t stress. Just make the effort, and I’ll do the rest.”
And once I finally let it go, and let God do what He does best, He showed up and showed out. Just like He always does. I went from a part-time after school job, to two full-time job offers with great non-profit organizations in a matter of weeks.
I’m no resume, interview guru. But I don’t have to be, because God is God. He was working all this time. At just the right time, He provided something part-time to open the door for a full-time opportunity. And because I promised God with every opportunity He provided for me, I was going to be sure to tell people about it, I had to post this.
God really is good. It doesn’t matter if you believe in Him or not. He’s still good. And the fact that He is giving you life knowing that you don’t believe in Him is even more evidence of His love and goodness.
When it seems like I have nothing going on, God is up to something. And when I step down, He steps up. And when He steps up, He shows up and shows out, every time.
Psalm 90:17 And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful. Yes, make our efforts successful!
