Write an e-mail from a 65-year-old man, asking his son for money.
Johnson,
Hey son. I hope things are going well. I’m so proud of you. You’ve done your old man good. I hate to ask you this, but I need your help.
Your mom and I have an anniversary coming up (our 40th), and I can’t quite pay in full for her gift. I certainly can’t take it from the joint account (she would notice, and it’s just wrong), so I was wondering if you could loan me $250.
By next month I should be able to pay you back. Right now, I honestly just don’t have it and there’s a deal that will expire before I do have the money. The surprise is that I’m taking your mom to a vineyard for the weekend for our anniversary. Please let me know if you can help.
Much Love,
Dad
