Be Glad

It feels really hard to be glad sometimes. On the day you get a flat tire, the last thing you probably want to think about is how it is for the greater good. If you’re me, not so deep down, you probably want to yell and scream and hit something. Never mind the fact that you solve nothing in that time.

Romans 12:12 says, “Be glad for all God is planning for you.”

So even when that tire is flat, even when that job is hated, and even when Mr. Right doesn’t seem to have the right timing, be glad. God is planning something special for you with everything. Can you believe that? With everything in your life, God plans to use it in an extra special way for you! Do you believe that?

That verse goes on to say, “Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful.”

So while that tire gets changed, allow your patience to grow. While that job gets harder to wake up to, be prayerful throughout the day. And while Mr. Right’s timing seems all wrong, be patient and prayerful for the special plan God has for the both of you.

As hard as it is to believe and feel when we are being tested through trials and tribulations, we are to be glad about God’s planning because we have NO idea just how amazing His plan is and will be. When it’s all said and done, we won’t even be able to believe that we actually suffered so little and gained so much.

Romans 8:18 “Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later.”
