Proverbs 2:3-6 Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.
Do you want to be rich? Silly question, right? Most people do. However, the Bible says we are to long for a different type of treasure. One not limited to material value.
God is the vastest, mysterious being there is, and yet wisdom can teach you something about Him, because God is the One who grants wisdom (Proverbs 2:6). In essence, the Lord grants treasure. The overarching emphasis is to value wisdom, common sense, and knowledge, because they are the treasures we should desire (Proverbs 2:3-4), if it’s truly lasting treasure you seek.
So, I’ll ask it again, do you want to be truly rich or are you already?
