Eventually, we have to get tired of talking about all the plans we’re making, and start putting them into action. At some point, a plan needs to stop being a plan and it needs to start being an act.
I’ve done a lot of planning. I plan, it’s what I do. But even I’m sick of it. I’m sick of all these anticipatory things on the horizon. I’m tired of talking about them and I’m ready not only to do them, but for them to be done.
Great ideas will forever only be that. Ideas. Great memories, great opportunities, great moments happen when ideas move out of the idea phase. I have plenty of great ideas and unfortunately that’s all they have ever been because I haven’t done anything with them. I don’t like that. I’m tired of doing that. I’m ready to move forward.
If we only accepted ideas as nothing more than that, we would have nothing accomplished. If there was only an idea of freedom, there would still be a need for it. If women’s equality was nothing more than an idea, there would still be a need for such.
There’s nothing like a good idea. It starts in the mind. But what makes an idea effective is when the thought inevitably becomes an action. Something powerful happens when a thought becomes an action.
