You owe it to people. You owe it to people. You owe it to people. You owe it to God, which is always first and foremost. God has invested in you. He has given you the abilities, gifts, and talents that you have to put towards a good work for Him. You first and foremost always owe it to God. Period.
I owe it to God to honor Him by working hard using the gifts that He has given me to use. I owe to God to write even when I don’t feel like it because He has given me that ability. I owe it to God to help others because He has given me that ability. I owe it to God to share my story sometimes, even when I don’t feel like it. Even when I’m embarrassed by it because that’s what He has brought me through to encourage others.
Sometimes you feel like, whatever. You might know you owe to God but may not feel like you owe it to yourself. And when you don’t feel like you owe it to yourself, secondly you have to remember you owe it to other people. Other people have invested in you. Other people have shared with you. Other people have taken time out for you.
Sometimes you don’t feel like going to work, sometimes you don’t feel like writing, sometimes you don’t feel like exercising. Sometimes you don’t want to volunteer, sometimes you don’t want to be there, but at those times you have to remember that you owe it to God and you owe to others.
Somebody went to work so that they could invest in you. Somebody only had an hour of free time that they spent listening to you, sharing with you, being there, supporting you. You owe it to them. you have to remember even when you don’t feel like it that somebody else didn’t either. But they did invest in you, they did give to you, they went above and beyond and worked so that they could invest in you one day.
You owe it to God to always be as great as you can be. You owe it to others for the sacrifices that they’ve made for you. So when you don’t feel like getting up early, when you don’t feel like reading, when you don’t feel like writing, when you don’t feel like volunteering, you have to understand that you owe it to somebody else, even if you don’t feel like you owe it to yourself.
And if you feel like that’s not enough reason to get you going, then maybe they made a bad investment.
