You are a coach who has just cut an 11-year-old girl from the team. Write an e-mail to her parents, explaining why.
Mr. and Mrs. Cobb,
I’m sorry that Chanel has been cut from this year’s softball team. While Chanel is very athletic, the coaches (myself included) have agreed that this year she’s not ready for the level of play that will take place.
I truly believe that with more practice, Chanel can be ready for next year’s softball season. I would be very open to allowing her to come to our practices once a week to work on some catching and batting.
Again, I am sorry that Chanel will not be on this year’s team, but I am more than willing to work with her to prepare her for next year’s season.
Thank you,
Coach Moore

Now you are the school principal. Write an e-mail to the coach who cut the girl from the team, explaining why he is being fired.
Coach Moore,
I regret to inform you that you are being terminated as the coach for this year’s softball season. I have received several complaints about your coaching techniques and decision making these last few months. I also received a call and email about you cutting Chanel Cobb from the team. This makes no sense to me.
There have been many of things that have transpired over your years of coaching. With the last 3 years spent as a losing team, I have to draw the line.
Please inform your staff and team that you will not be the head coach for the remainder of the season.
Principal Strange
