So often I sit in awe, at God.
Of all the wonderful things around us, a God that took literally nothing and created everything, stopped and made man, and said now this is good. He said, “I know all the wonders of everything else, but this right here, this, man, is my greatest work.” This is good.
“Yeah, he’s going to disobey me, he’s going to act crazy, he may not even love me. But this is good, still.”
How often do we sit back, work hard, or just work on something. And just stop and say, this is good?
Not often.
I bet you thought of one particular time just now, agreeing with the fact that it doesn’t happen often. But when it does, it’s an overwhelming feeling of happiness. It’s completion. It’s joy. And seldom do we pause at our work or anything and say, now this is a good thing.
I believe it’s because we don’t do enough things that are simply that. Good. We don’t create enough that is simply good. We don’t involve ourselves in what is simply good. And we don’t dwell in the simply good.
God made me. And when He made me, in the womb, He felt that it was good. He knew I’d sin. But He still saw me as good. And He still does. God is good, and all He touches is good.
And he has touched me. And that is always good to know.
