People give out of kindness. People give out of some kind of tug in their heart. It’s my belief that that tug is God. It’s God putting something in someone’s heart to motivate them to generosity, or to service. It’s of no merit to humanity honestly.
We hear all about generous acts and how they restore people’s faith in humanity and all of that. I’m all for that, it’s wonderful. It’s great for people to give and help. I’m definitely not mad at that at all. It’s nice to believe that people aren’t all bad. It’s heartwarming to have reminders like that. But…
When are people going to restore their faith in God? Do you honestly think I could give a person something I didn’t have or definitely didn’t even have enough of for myself without faith in God? How could I ever meet a need for someone else that’s similar to my own without God’s provision?
I believe that there are a lot of good people in the world. I believe there are a lot of good things in the world. But I believe in the God that provided them even more.
