National Poetry Month, I figured I’d get involved by posting some poems that I don’t love but don’t hate either.
You stand out to me
Eye-catching, you see?
But there is more to your appeal.
Even more than you’ve chosen to reveal.
I just want to know what makes you unique
Where are the answers I seek?
What are the solutions to this attraction?
Will they lie in our interaction?
In your eyes is something that’s refreshed
In them I am replenished.
What makes you so compelling?
It makes all of you seem telling.
I gaze at you and wonder.
Then I glance over and ponder.
What could it really be?
That makes you stand out to me?
