Oprah – Iconic

Iconic – relating to or of the nature of an icon.

Is there anything I can tell you about Oprah Winfrey that you don’t already know? Anything I can tell you that you couldn’t just research yourself? Probably not.

What I can say is that Oprah Winfrey is pretty iconic.

Miss Winfrey started from very humble beginnings. “Oprah” wasn’t always the Oprah we all know. After battling sexual abuse, she moved to Nashville to live with her father. She went to Tennessee State and began working in radio and television broadcasting. She continued to work her way through the media industry and eventually that hard work paid off.

Winfrey launched the Oprah Winfrey Show in 1986 with an audience of 10 million people; the show grossed $125 million by the end of its first year. Since then, Oprah has used her fame to bring awareness to issues, promote others, and so much more.

As the first African American billionaire, Oprah has proven that no matter how you start, you can still finish strong.

Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment. – Oprah Winfrey
