Jesus?

Jesus was beaten unrecognizable. I always wondered why? Why did He have to be beaten so badly? Now I see it as a correlation of the cause of sin. Sin causes un-recognition because it is counter to what we were created for. Any time a creation is not used for its purpose, that creation is unrecognizable to its Creator.

God is almighty so He can always recognize us, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t chosen an unrecognizable path. The abuse that Jesus endured was the sin placed upon Him for us.

Jesus was beyond recognition because at that moment He really wasn’t recognized. He had never sinned and to have the weight and burden of sin all upon Him made Him look as He never had before.

I don’t want to continue sinning. I don’t want to be unrecognizable by going against my Creator’s purpose for me. As a matter of fact, I can’t.

Jesus chose rejection for my acceptance. He opted for salvation for me than damnation. He is my Savior because clearly I needed saving.
