Enough is Enough

When you get saved, you are supposed to be different. Period. You know, it’s hard to see people as Christians. It really is. People make mistakes, we all fall short of God’s glorious standards. But if you’re saved and you still can’t see the difference in who you are now and who you were then, then something is very off.

Sometimes you look at people who are sleeping around, talking about getting drunk every weekend, etc. All you can do is shake your head. I just don’t understand it. As a saved person, eventually that stuff just shouldn’t be done. I know slip ups occur for us all, but that stuff shouldn’t even be so appealing anymore. If nothing else, eventually you should say to yourself, I’m too old for this!

When you really start living for God, you die to self. The things you used to do just shouldn’t be the things you still do. The Bible says in 1 Peter 4:3:

You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy—their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols.

So in other words, as a Christian, eventually you should be saying, enough is enough.
