There are a lot of things that excite me about God. Everything for starters. But my focus today is on these verses.
Exodus 16:7-8
In the morning you will see the glorious presence of the Lord. He has heard your complaints, which are against the Lord and not against us. The Lord will give you meat to eat in the evening and bread in the morning, for he has heard all your complaints against Him. Yes, your complaints are against the Lord, not against us.
Do you see what I see?
Moses made it completely clear that no matter what, as long as he was in God’s will all the complaints that people had weren’t against him. They were against God, because he was doing what God said to do.
Complaining about me and what I do will result in stress for me when I’m doing my own thing. But complaining about me and what I do when God tells me to do it will result in stress for you. When you’re in God’s will all the negative venom people try to contaminate you with is all going to Him. All that poison they want to spread so badly on you is heading to God. And it’s fine because He can handle it.
How great is that? To know that when people are trying to bring you down for your beliefs or for your relationship with God that it doesn’t matter. It’s unfortunate, but it doesn’t have to affect you in any way.
That’s my prayer for the leaders in this country. My prayer is that our leaders in this country choose to do God’s will more than anything. And my prayer is that they have the understanding of the fact that as long as they do God’s will, people’s complaints aren’t against them.
God’s will isn’t the favorable decision these days. But it is always the best decision. And I can’t help but believe this is God’s way of saying you don’t have to lose any sleep at night about what people say, think, or feel about you. Because what I say, think, and feel about you is all that matters. Let them complain because now they have to deal with me for complaining against you.
