Affection

It’s hard for people to show or share affection. I get it, I’m never been lovey-dovey myself. But it’s become a lot easier for me to say affectionate things. For those who struggle, I hope this pandemic has helped you get over the struggle with affection as well.

We’ve only got today. The more people we lose, the more people who fall ill, the more I’m reminded of how important it is to take advantage of the moment we’re in. I mean how could we not?

I tell my students I miss them all the time. That’s easy for me. I truly do miss them, and I don’t know how many of them have ever felt unmissed.

People feel unmissed a lot of the times. And I think it’s important for us, especially as Christ-followers to let that not be the case. Children feel unmissed, and it’s important for us to let that not be the case, or the pattern they have in their lives.

Today, tell someone you miss them. Tell them you thought of them. Someone today may feel like they don’t matter and that if they’re gone no one notices. Prove them wrong today.

Philippians 4:5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
