A Few Good Men

I’m a firm believer that you can’t bring yesterday’s baggage into today’s relationship, or yesterday’s anything into today’s anything. If you’re wondering why the same problems keep showing up in your relationships it’s because you keep bringing them in.

Sometimes he really isn’t the problem. Sometimes it really is you. It really is your inability to forgive. It really is your inability to trust. It’s your assumptions that trump his obvious efforts. And it really is your own fault.

Some of us have allowed ourselves to be so hurt that the second someone tries to have something lasting with us we assume they are up to no good. I know. Human nature, women’s intuition, whatever you want to call it, had trumped my ability to believe men can be genuine. And soon enough God had to help me realize that every man (or woman for the fellas) isn’t trustworthy, but there are men (women) who are.

Never let yourself be in a situation where a man is good to you and you question it. If he is nice to you and you’re wondering why, it’s because you have been hurt. And if you feel like you might be able to relate to this in a current relationship, you need to do some serious thinking.

Realize what’s good for you, and what’s good away from you. Don’t be fooled. But don’t be a fool either.

Ladies, can we seriously let a bunch of bad boys ruin something for us with a few good men?
