Inspire by Mark 4, The Widow’s Offering
I’m giving it all I’ve got
I don’t need to take a second thought
God in flesh is before me
How could I leave His temple taking what I think belongs to me?
I only have two small coins
But all I have is a small price to pay since I’ve been reborn
I look around, everyone is giving so much
What will my tiny offering do for the bunch?
Did Jesus say I’ve given more than the rest?
Was it my offering that Jesus did attest?
I guess my two coins were enough
Especially in comparison to those giving a tiny surplus.
Giving is living, that statement is true
After all, Jesus gave the best gift to me and you.
Give your all
Whether big or small
Give from the heart
For the heart of the matter is the important part.
