Trust your Why

If I could see it, I think it would be easier. Isn’t that the statement of the decade? What wouldn’t be easier that way? Most of life would be easier that way.

If we could see why we didn’t get that job early on then wouldn’t it help us to move on faster? Why did we miss out on the house? Oh, it’s because the other one is yours. Why didn’t the relationship work out? Because he’s in the way of this guy.

The why is hard when it’s unknown. But the wait for the why builds our faith. If I can see or know the why in advance then I don’t build my faith or hope, which are two of the three things that will remain (1 Corinthians 13:13).

I’m still learning this lesson, but I do know that it’s a lesson of faith and trust. This is easier said than done, I know, but I’m going to say it.

What I can say is, when it’s hard to know the why, when it’s hard to see the why, trust your Why for everything. Which should be God.
