It Could All Be So Simple

God loves us so much that He’ll use anything to remind us or teach us. He takes the time to use simple things in the most profound ways so that we can get what He is telling us.

I was going through an old treasure chest at home. You know, old pictures, articles, random things that you just can’t get rid of, but definitely could stand to. Anyway, I came across an old phone and the revelation was amazing. Through it, God said, “Look how I change things.”

When I was younger I loved a small phone. Now, I have fallen in love with my Galaxy Notes. See, I know God can change people because He changed small things about me. Something as simple as the type of phone I used to like.

If He could change a like, of course He can change me. And of course He can change others. Who would serve a God that could change an opinion, but didn’t have the power to change a person? No one. And I don’t even have to wonder because my God can.

This may seem too simple. It may seem unimportant. It may even seem foolish. Anytime God shows me something that may seem foolish in the eyes of man, I’m happy. Whenever I get to be “foolishly wise” I should always jump at the opportunity, because it’s just God’s way of sharing and showing me how simple it can be sometimes.

In the words of Lauryn Hill, “It could all be so simple, but you’d rather make it hard.”

1 Corinthians 1:26-27

26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. 27 Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.
